Reading headlines is dangerous. Take ours today. What was your first reaction? As I saw the story being bounced around yesterday, the assumption would be a rogue school board with a stupid message. After all, we’ve seen plenty of that around the country. If all you read are the headlines and don’t dig into the story it’s very likely you’ll not have a grasp of the material. In this case it’s a bit better than that and easier to explain. We’ll do it IN A HANDBASKET.
The Cleveland Indians (who wants them as Guardians) are not guarding the integrity of baseball. In fact, they’ve gone the other direction. A Florida court is hearing the case of a state employee who was fired after her social media comments regarding Charlie Kirk’s assassination. Senator Rand Paul wants to be his daddy, but it still didn’t stop the senate from passing the continuing resolution and sending it to the house. And Pete Hegseth wants to get the bureaucracy out of the way of the mission. The Pentagon is a quagmire of process and protocol. Can it be changed? Should it?
Those issues are in play as we get our Tuesday moving on WMMB.
