Estranged Wife Of Suspended Sheriff Arrested

(Kissimmee, FL)-- Suspended Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez' estranged wife is in more legal trouble. Robin Severance-Lopez was arrested yesterday at her home in St. Cloud. She's accused of providing false or misleading information or omitting information involving her application for bail. No details were released. Severance-Lopez is due in court today. She was out on bail after her original arrest four months ago as part an illegal gambling operation that spanned multiple counties. Marcos Lopez is facing similar charges. Both have pled not guilty. 

TN County School Board Votes To Call Holiday Break "Christmas Break"

(Sumner County, TN)-- The county school board in Tennessee is deciding to call the holiday break "Christmas Break" instead of "Winter Break" for the next school year. The move by the Sumner County School Board comes after a heated debate over whether the name might exclude families who don't celebrate Christmas. Supporters say it reflects the county's majority values, while critics argue it can make other families feel left out.
