Flood Watch In Effect For Volusia, Brevard Counties

(Melbourne, FL)-- Flooding could be a problem in Brevard and Volusia counties. The National Weather Service has a Flood Watch in effect through Sunday morning. Excessive runoff could flood rivers, creeks, streams and other low-lying and flood-prone areas. The NWS warns those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Palm Bay City Council Votes To Ask Governor To Suspend Colleague

(Palm Bay, FL)-- The governor is being asked to suspend an elected official in Palm Bay. The City Council voted 4-one yesterday to ask Governor Ron DeSantis to suspend Councilman Chandler Langevin [[LANG-uh-vin]]. Langevin was the only "no" vote. The vote comes after he wrote on X that Indians don't care about the United States. He wrote yesterday, though, his comments were not directed at Indian-Americans but Indian immigrants who exploit the H-One-B visa system. After the meeting, Langevin wrote "for every lefty looney that came to yell at me tonight there are thousands of normal Americans that don't come to meetings because they know I will represent them." 

Seven People Arrested For Theft Ring Targeting Home Depot

(Tallahassee, FL)-- Seven people are in custody for stealing from Home Depots in South Florida. Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the arrests this week. He says the suspects were part of a multilevel criminal enterprise centered on stealing smoke detectors. They allegedly targeted stores across the state. Investigators say the items made their way to Texas. The suspects are facing charges that include Conspiracy to Commit Racketeering.

Portland Naked Bike Ride

(Portland, OR)-- Oregon National Guard troops in Portland could draw a special appearance of the World Naked Bike Ride. Organizers are planning an emergency ride in response to the deployment of National Guard troops to Portland. Thousands of unclothed cyclists have been known to take part in rides through the Rose City. In the past, they've been to protest fossil fuels or other environmental concerns. In an Instagram post Wednesday, the group says an Emergency World Naked Bike Ride will be announced soon - quote - in response to the militarization of our city.
