If we were trying to decide which city council in Brevard was the worst, it’d be a toss up between Melbourne and Palm Bay. It’s a fierce battle as both bodies are trying to reach the depths of stupidity through actions of their various members. In Melbourne it’s Mayor Paul Alfrey playing retaliatory politics with a business owner whose take on Charlie Kirk’s death was worthy of disdain, but not political action. In Palm Bay, councilman Chandler Langevin decided insulting an entire continent of human beings, not to mention some noteworthy constituents, would level the playing field. It most certainly has.
A city council episode of Celebrity Death Match may be the best way to declare the winner. The councils’ pronouns, depending on which wins, will be dumb and dumber.
We’ll begin our day, as Wide Open Wednesday allows, in the world of higher education where worthless degrees are being rejected and so are professors who embrace leftist, violent tendencies.
What did you think of the Secretary of War’s comments yesterday to the ranking officers called to Washington to be shown the way of the world? Oh, the expected government shutdown is here. Anybody hurting yet?
Those stories and more are in play as you decide where our Wide Open Wednesday takes us.
Let’s get to it.
