The report shows Florida is number one for attracting and developing a skilled workforce. It's the third straight year Florida has been ranked number one. DeSantis says this shows Florida is building a workforce ready for high-demand, high-wage careers.
Burglary Suspects Blamed For Deadly Crash In Flagler County
(Bunnell, FL) --Three men bags are being blamed for a crash that killed a Volusia County woman. Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly described the three burglary suspects as “dirtbags. Deputies say the men got out of the car after the collision and tried to run away, but they were caught. The 71-year-old Ormond Beach woman driving the car that was hit was taken to the hospital where she passed away. The three suspects were wanted for vehicle burglaries in St. Johns County. Staly says he'll do everything in his power to make sure they're prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
NCF To Honor Kirk With Statue
(Sarasota, FL) --Charlie Kirk will be honored in Tampa Bay. New College of Florida announced yesterday it'll commission a statue of the conservative podcast host. NCF officials say it'll honor Kirk's legacy and incredible work. They say it'll stand on the Sarasota campus as a commitment to defend and fight for free speech and civil discourse. The statue will be privately funded by community leaders, and the location will be announced in the coming months.
Man Pleads Guilty To Landing Small Plane On Navy Airstrip
(Los Angeles, CA) -- A man from San Diego is pleading guilty to illegally landing a small plane on a Navy airstrip twice on San Clemente Island. Andrew White entered his plea in federal court in Los Angeles on Monday. He admitted to one felony count of theft of government property in excess of a thousand dollars and one misdemeanor count of illegal entry into a naval installation. Prosecutors say White landed the plane on the Navy runway without permission in October of 2023 and again in April of this year. After the second landing, he stole a Navy truck and used it to damage gates on San Clemente Island, causing thousands of dollars in damage. White has been behind bars since cutting off an ankle monitoring bracelet earlier this year.
