Overplaying One’s Hand

We like games. I miss hours long card games with my mom. We enjoyed the time together and laughed a lot. Today’s games aren’t quite the same. The stakes are higher, some to the point of death.

We’ll begin with Major League Baseball which is getting what it and other pro sports are asking for.

Then, Miami is moving forward, playing games with its elections and extending (unlawfully, it appears) the terms of the mayor and at least one commissioner beyond their terms of office.

ICE and other law enforcement officers are being attacked across the country, but apparently that’s not enough for the left. Some are calling for attacks on congress. Anyone want to revisit my comments last week that it’s time to start shooting rioters?

Elon Musk is hitting the hot buttons of conservatives as he forms his new political party. Firearms and Bitcoin are the latest rallying cries.

There are more talks of peace in the middle east. Iran is scared; Lebanon is in on the idea of disarming Hezbollah. Could things actually calm in the troubled region?

Dave Bowman is out today. He feels fine but has lost his voice. I offered to let him handle sign language duties today, but he probably needs his rest.
