Winning, Time & Perseverance

Winning takes preparation. No matter if it’s sports, work or any aspect of life, success takes work. It also takes time and a willingness to pursue the effort to its conclusion. It’s also true in politics. As we discuss regularly here, we are an impatient people, wanting instant results. Rarely do things work out that way. It takes practice, honing a skill set, using it until it’s second nature and sticking with it to the desired conclusion. We have some stories today where that perseverance is paying off.

We’ll begin with some shop talk and how that idea works in radio. We’ll see it in social issues, politics and even global conflict. There is also one issue that sounds right to us, but has been fought before, only to be sidelined by the death of a Supreme Court Justice. Can it be fought again?

Those are the ideas on my plate today, but it is Wide Open Wednesday. It’s the one day a week you can bring up anything you like when you call the show. We may get to my topic or we may not That’s up to you. So, what’s on your mind?
