Trump Protesters Rally Across Florida, Around The Country

(Orlando, FL) --"Hands Off" protests against President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the administration across the country and around the state Saturday. Tens of thousands gathered in downtown Orlando, Daytona Beach, South Beach, North Florida, and other parts of the Sunshine State. There were no reports of any arrests nor any violence at any of the Florida protests. Saturday's events across the country are considered the largest organized show of opposition since Trump took office back in January.  

Driver Charged in Cocoa Crash That Killed Three Passengers 

(Cocoa, FL) -- A Sebastian man has been charged in a high-speed crash that killed three passengers after Florida Highway Patrol determined he was impaired. Forty-one-year-old Vernon James Hodges faces 17 charges including DUI manslaughter and felony murder following the March 28th wreck on I-95 near State Road 520. Investigators say Hodges was driving over 100 mph when he crashed into a tow truck and another vehicle, causing catastrophic damage. He has five prior DUI convictions and remains held without bond in Brevard County.

Half South Florida Condos Listed Fannie Mae blacklist; Doubled In 2YRS

(Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach Counties, FL) -- Close to half of condo owners in south Florida are secretly being added to a Fannie Mae blacklist. According to the Miami Herald a list of condos tracked by law firm Allcock Marcus shows Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties had doubled over the last few years. Owners are having more trouble selling their property or obtaining loans for improvements. A law firm spokesperson said those condos listed have "financial, insurance or critical maintenance issues."

Man Impersonates ICE Agent

(Indiantown, FL)-- A Florida man is in custody after impersonating an ICE agent. Jose Lopez was arrested by Martin County police after he pulled over two men in a traffic stop. The victims, both Hispanic men, say Lopez claimed to be with ICE and demanded their ID's. After Lopez threatened the men with deportation they felt suspicious and called 9-1-1.Deputies found Lopez and arrested and charged him with impersonating a federal law enforcement agent.

Florida, Houston Advance To NCAA Men's Championship

(San Antonio, TX)-- The Florida Gators and Houston Cougars will face off in the NCAA Men's Championship Game. The Gators took down the SEC rival Auburn Tigers 79-to-73 with Walter Clayton Junior leading all scorers with 34-points. The Cougars made a late comeback to top the Duke Blue Devils 70-to-67.L.J. Cryer posted 26-points in the win, including going six-of-nine from three-point range. The NCAA Championship Game tips off tonight at 8:50 pm eastern at the Alamo-Dome in San Antonio.

Man Accused Of Brandishing Machete After Shoplifting Cinnamon Bun

(Asheville, NC)-- A man in North Carolina is facing charges after allegedly stealing a cinnamon bun from a grocery store and brandishing a machete. Authorities identified the suspect as Jeffrey Dewayne Bradburn say he was charged with armed robbery, shoplifting, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police responded to the incident in Ashville after receiving reports of the robbery and apprehended Bradburn, who was found eating the stolen cinnamon bun. Fox News reports he was booked into a detention facility on a 50-thousand dollar bond.

2004, citing no new leads and case overload, San Francisco police deactivated the case of the "Zodiac Killer" after a more than 30 year investigation. The serial killer taunted and terrorized Northern California residents for several years. The "Zodiac Killer" is blamed for committing at least five brazen murders in 1968 and 1969 and sending taunting letters containing zodiac signs to police and newspapers.

1980, President Jimmy Carter broke off diplomatic relations with Iran and ordered out all Iranian embassy staff because of the detention of the U.S. embassy hostages in Tehran.
