Titusville Mayor Discusses Deadly Police Shooting

(Titusville, FL) --A mayor in Brevard County says he's trying to help a grieving mother find closure. Titusville Mayor Andrew Connors talked yesterday about the police shooting that killed Tri-Marea Rayquan Charles last week. The TPD says Charles was armed. His mother, Samantha, and others disrupted the city council meeting on Tuesday to demand to see the body cam video of the incident. Connors says the FDLE is investigating, and it's up to them to release the video. Samantha also wants to see her son's body. Connors tells Fox 35 he's trying to help fulfill her request and arrange a visit to the medical examiner. Meanwhile, Tri-Marea's death will be the subject of a meeting the NAACP is hosting tonight at the Gibson Center on Sycamore Street.    

FSU Hosts Talk On AI

(Tallahassee, FL) --A speaker at Florida State University wants us to have an optimistic view of artificial intelligence. Zack Kass spoke yesterday at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall as part of the Power Forward Speaker Series. Kass worked for OpenAI for over a decade. He told the audience to think of the ways AI can change our lives for the better. Kass says it's giving us easy free access to brilliance. He also suggests the future won't be determined by what machines can do but by what we want them to do.

Four Arrested For Miami-Dade Murder

(Miami, FL) --A teenager is accused of killing his girlfriend in Miami-Dade County. The sheriff's office announced yesterday 19-year-old Elijah Clarke was arrested in Texas on Tuesday. He's charged with murder in the shooting death of 20-year-old Delilah Ruiz on Saturday. Two other teens were arrested for allegedly helping Clarke avoid arrest, and another teen was arrested for allegedly driving the getaway car after the shooting. Deputies believe Clarke and Ruiz were arguing about money when he shot her.      

Witness Helps Woman Recover Stolen Van In Broward County

(Hollywood, FL) --Thanks to a neighbor, a woman has her van back, and a suspected thief is in custody in Broward County. Maria Tosta was in Hollywood yesterday to make a delivery at Mayo Street and South 56th Ave. Hollywood Police say when she got out of her work van, another woman jumped in and took off. Tosta jumped on the hood of the van to stop the woman, but she fell off. Shannon Daniels lives in the neighborhood, and he heard Tosta scream. Daniels jumped into his truck and followed the carjacker until she ditched the van and made a run for it. Daniels called 911, and police were able to find the suspect and arrest her. Tosta says she's very grateful. Daniels tells NBC 6 he was just being helpful. 

SpaceX Wants To Incorporate

(Brownsville, TX) -- Voters in South Texas will soon be deciding whether Elon Musk can have his own town. An election has been set for May to decide whether Starbase, Texas, can be legally incorporated. It's where SpaceX has their launch pad. The private spaceflight company submitted an Incorporation Petition late last year. Cameron County Judge Eddie Trevino says, if given the stamp of approval, this will be the first new town in 30-years.

Paul McCartney Plays Surprise Gig In NYC

(New York, NY) --A small club in New York City got a surprise show from Paul McCartney Tuesday. The ex-Beatle performed for a crowd of about 500 people at the Bowery Ballroom on Manhattan's Lower East Side. The show wasn't announced until Tuesday morning, with tickets only available in person at the box office. It sold out in minutes. The 82-year-old McCartney and his band opened with "A Hard Day's Night" and played for 100 minutes, including a mix of classics from the Beatles, Wings and his solo career.
