(Washington, DC)-- House Speaker Mike Johnson says he doesn't think the House Ethics Committee report on sexual allegations against Matt Gaetz should be released. The Louisiana Republican said he believes it's a "terrible breach of protocol." Gaetz, a former congressman representing Florida's First District and the President-pick for attorney general, has denied wrongdoing in his sexual misconduct and sex trafficking allegations. But Johnson says that because Gaetz is no longer serving in the House, that's beyond the ethics committee's jurisdiction.
Volusia County Boy Found Dead
(Ormond Beach, FL)-- A child is dead after what Ormond Beach Police call a heartbreaking tragedy. The OBPD announced yesterday a dive team found four-year-old Waylon Childs' body at Central Park. Waylon was at the park with his father and two other kids when he went missing. The FDLE issued a Missing Child Alert. Police Chief Jesse Godfrey thanked everyone involved in the search. He says the department remains committed to standing with the family during this unimaginable loss.
Royal Caribbean Ship Docks At Port Miami After Rough Weather
(Miami, FL) -- A cruise ship is at Port Miami after a trip that contained a bit of chaos. That's how one passenger describes what happened on Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas. The ship docked in Miami yesterday after leaving Spain two weeks ago. The first night at sea, the ship was hit by rough weather. Passengers say the ship listed to one side, and plates and chairs went flying. One passenger was hurt and had to be taken off the ship. One man tells 7News it was a crazy experience, and everyone was panicking.
Third Lawyer Arrested For Allegedly Smuggling Drugs Into Harris County Jail
(Harris County, TX)-- A third lawyer is being accused of smuggling drugs into the Harris County jail. Police say Hunter Simmons snuck drug-laced paper into the jail and gave it to a client he was representing. Two more suspects were also arrested for their role in providing Simmons with the drugs. Police have arrested two other lawyers over the past year in unconnected drug-smuggling schemes connected to the jail.
Pentagon Claims UFO Nearly Crashed Into Commercial Jet In Report
(Washington, DC)-- A recent Pentagon report says a UFO nearly hit a commercial airliner off the coast of New York. The incident is documented in a report reviewing hundreds of unidentified flying objects cases including balloons, satellites and birds highlighted in an ongoing investigation. The report details a "cylindrical object" flying over the Atlantic Ocean and almost crashing into a commercial jet according to the flight crew. Several other cases involved military aircraft being followed by UFOs. Officials heard witnesses recounts of UFO encounters during a UAPs hearing on Capitol Hill Wednesday.
