Gaetz for AG? Appointments Flying from President Trump

Nominations are flying out of President Trump’s transition team. With two representatives and a senator among the potential appointees, Florida is figuring prominently in the next administration. Republicans are maintaining control of the House of Representatives and the Senate switches to Republican control providing the president with a unified government in the first two years of the term. Mike Johnson has held the job of House Speaker. John Thune won the Senate Majority Leader position yesterday.

Not all the appointments are being met with open arms and the most concerning of them is Matt Gaetz for Attorney General. Gaetz has been under investigation here at home and was facing an ethics inquiry in the House. He immediately resigned his seat in congress (not the smartest move) in apparent anticipation of confirmation. That confirmation is not a guarantee by any stretch.

Recently converted Republican Tulsi Gabbard has been nominated as Trumps Director of National Intelligence. I believe she’s a good choice and her conversion from Democrat to Independent to Republican shows the party has changed and is welcoming of patriots of varying positions.

If we have time, the current Brevard County Commission has secured its place as WORST EVER as it continues not doing its job and passing on responsibility for its duties to future commissions who we hope won’t be the waffling bag of buffoons we have seen the last several years.
