BML- Monday: Bad Ideas & Safe Trains?

We’ll begin our Bad Ideas Monday with EVs. California continues to exert its overreach into people’s lives and choices even as less than 2% of used car sales are EVs. There is one person giving a practical outlook for EVs and consumers, and we apparently listen to him a lot.

President Trump has been ordered to pay over $80m in the NY lawsuit over alleged defamation. The judge and plaintiff’s attorney were affiliated in previous legal life, and somehow, they both forgot to disclose the relationship. Governor DeSantis shares our concerns over House Bill 1 and regulating social media for kids. And in one grand bad idea, Americans are heading to the Texas border to show support for the state in its fight with illegal aliens and the federal government.

In hour-three we’ll talk with Susan Mehiel (MEAL) with The Alliance for Safe Trains. In what started as opposition to Brightline’s high speed rail coming through our communities, the group is now on the forefront of making those trains safer for the public at large.  Melbourne could sure use a dose of that about now.
