Deadly Police Shooting In Osceola County
(St. Cloud, FL) -- A man is dead after he was shot by police in Osceola County. Two St. Cloud Police officers shot and killed the man yesterday after he allegedly stabbed a nine-year-old girl inside a home. Nine-year-old Jayda Lee Snyder was stabbed yesterday afternoon in her home. Veronika Snyder says she had to leave the hospital where her daughter is staying because of COVID-19 concerns. The girl is in stable condition but could lose an eye, and her mom tells Channel 9 she's praying and looking for answers.
Child Hurt In Deadly Brevard County Crash
(Melbourne, FL) -- Two people are dead and a child is hurt after a crash in Brevard County. It happened Monday night in Melbourne on Eau Gallie Boulevard. Police say a van turned into the path of a motorcycle driven by Brevard Corrections Deputy Stephen Goodson, who was off duty. The 31-year-old Goodson and a 65-year-old female van passenger were killed. The child, who was also in the van, was taken to the trauma center, but there's no word on their condition.
JSO Disperses Cinco de Mayo Crowd
(Jacksonville, FL) -- The JSO says a lack of social distancing forced it to shut down a Cinco de Mayo party. One Night Taco Stand had a crowd of people in its parking lot on San Jose Boulevard last night for its Take-out Tailgate. Customers were not staying six feet apart, though, and many weren't wearing masks so police dispersed the crowd. Some customers told News4Jax they're not afraid of getting the virus because they don't know anyone who has it or has been exposed to it.
DeSantis Announces New State High In COVID-19 Testing
(Sarasota, FL) -- Efforts to ramp up coronavirus testing in Florida appear to be paying off. In Sarasota yesterday, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the state conducted almost 24-thousand COVID-19 tests the day before. That's the most the state has done in a single day. He also announced antibody tests will soon be done to find those who had the virus but never showed symptoms.
Norwegian Cruise Line Facing Possible Closure
(Miami, FL) -- A Miami-based cruise line could become a victim of the coronavirus. Norwegian Cruise Line yesterday warned it may fold. Cruise lines did not get a federal bailout, and a no sail order is in effect through July.
Broward County Sheriff Responds To 'Smear' Tactics
(Fort Lauderdale, FL) -- Broward County's sheriff is fighting what he calls smear tactics by a political opponent. A photo released over the weekend showed Sheriff Gregory Tony posing with two topless women at a private party five years ago. Tony said yesterday that former Sheriff Scott Israel, who's running against Tony in November's election, released the photo to embarrass and slander Tony and his wife. Israel, though, says he had nothing to do with the photo coming out.

The #peeyourpantschallenge has already racked up close to four-million views on social media, showing someone film themselves while they urinate in their pants. The original was posted by 19-year-old comedian Liam Weyer, who told The Insider he was surprised to see the act go viral. Weyer said his post was just a prank showing how dumb viral challenges are, but that anything with a hashtag and a challenge name can become popular these days.
Ohio Woman Calls Police For 'Fire Crotch'
(Port Clinton, OH) -- An Ohio woman is in custody for calling police to help put out a fire in her crotch. First responders in Port Clinton say 50-year-old Katrina Morgan dialed 911 and told dispatchers that her privates were "ablaze." She also reportedly said she needed the fire department to come put it out with their working hose. Police arrived to a home and found Morgan drinking calmly with others. She was arrested after initially resisting officers. Morgan now faces charges of disrupting public services, making false alarms, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
